A physician with a passion for equity and efficiency, Justin Brown, MD loves to partner with individuals and organizations on the lifelong journey to health. His professional interests include chronic disease management, quality improvement, and care for families affected by police and prison violence.
Justin graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Akron Williams Honors College with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). He received his Registered Nurse (RN) license shortly before matriculating into the University of Toledo College of Medicine & Life Sciences, where he subsequently earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in the 1st quartile of his graduating class. After completing his residency at Summa Health Systems, he joined the organization as a board-certified family physician caring for patients at the Summa Health Equity Center. He also serves as the medical director of three facilities for Oriana House, a local community corrections organization.
In addition to his role as health coach for his own patients, the oldest son of DMB Coaching founder Dr. Michael Brown is an experienced consultant, curriculum developer, and communicator. As his residency program’s clinic chief, Justin worked alongside department leadership to identify workflow inefficiencies and improve organizational efficiency in an office of over 6,000 patients. He has created a comprehensive database summarizing nearly 200 episodes of Three Words Podcast and has provided invaluable behind-the-scenes support for his father’s upcoming book The Marble Mindset. Recent speaking engagements include regional conferences for undergraduate students, leadership roundtables for hospital administrators, and online seminars for community activists.
Although Justin loves his work, his greatest love is for his family – his wife Noelle, their thirteen siblings and siblings-in-law, and their cats Bella and Zeke. In his free time, Justin can be found at a local coffee shop enjoying a good book and a honey oat milk latte.
